▌ Physical Development Program
The physical and artistic development program is systematically built with the support of reputable sports organizations such as the Norwegian Football Federation, Football for All in Vietnam, Nike, and program development and teacher training projects from the Ministry of Education and Training.
The program adds sports disciplines beyond the basic curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training, including:
- Grade 1: Taekwondo
- Grade 2: Aerobics
- Grade 3: Dancesport
- Grade 4: Basketball
- Grade 5: Swimming
Sports competitions are regularly held in various disciplines. The school's sports teams have achieved many successes in the Phu Dong Sports Festival and other sports tournaments at the grassroots, city, and national levels.
In particular, physical education activities not only help students enhance their motor skills but also build integration skills (dancesport, aerobics), coordination and teamwork abilities (basketball, football), self-defense, and survival skills (Taekwondo, Swimming).
Doan Thi Diem Primary School - Hanoi is proud to be the first school in the past 10 years to have 100% of its students graduate knowing how to swim and how to perform at least 2 international dance styles.
▌ Artistic Talent Development Program
At Doan Thi Diem Primary School - Hanoi, all students have the opportunity to develop their artistic abilities. The Music and Fine Arts programs are supplemented with many contents compared to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training.
100% of students learn basic Piano, master the fundamental techniques of Chorus, learn traditional folk melodies such as Cheo and Quan Ho, and experience creative Fine Arts on various materials.
Furthermore, they have many opportunities to perform on a large stage through school-wide art competitions and programs at prestigious venues such as the National Convention Center and the Hanoi Opera House.
Talent subjects are distributed by grade level:
- Grade 1: Music Appreciation
- Grade 2: Piano
- Grade 3, 4: Chorus
- Grade 5: Introduction to Cheo and Quan Ho Traditional Arts
